The Association of Certified Beer Sommeliers is the world’s largest network for professionally trained beer sommeliers. Since 2005, it has worked to establish beer as a premium product of enjoyment and to raise public awareness of the beer sommelier profession.

The association is an international, cross-industry network and serves as both a professional and alumni organisation for certified beer sommeliers.
Since its foundation in 2005, it has pursued a clear vision: to increase appreciation for beer, celebrate its diversity and inspire people to discover the fascinating world of beer. 🍻
Based in Austria, the association now has more than 1,631 members worldwide. It is supported by twelve sponsoring members, eleven partner associations and 23 industry supporters.
On 1 November 2025, André Hofer took over as Head of the South Tyrol Section. His guiding principle is simple: bring people together, share knowledge and enjoy beer together. 🤝🎓🍺
